We are Mal and Sofia Forrest, we made Roatan our new home in 2002 and have been living here, diving and raising a family ever since. Mal is originally from the Isle of Wight, England, Sofia from Buenos Aires, Argentina.   Our island life has changed over the years, from young, inexperienced dive guides to dive instructors, resort managers and dive shop owners.  We’ve been incredibly fortunate to meet so many wonderful people both living on and visiting Roatan over the years. It’s the friends we’ve made that have kept us here; that and our love of the reef.

Since selling our successful West End dive operation in 2020 we took some time out as a family to analyze what our next step would be.  We wanted to get back out on the water but not at the same pace and stress as previously.  Our aim is to take clients on the type of excursions that we have enjoyed over the years here, to have more fun and adventures with our work and share these experiences with smaller, more personalized groups and returning friends and guests…….great service, attention to detail with a little ‘Malarkey’ thrown in!

In between raising our daughter here on Roatan we are actively involved in the community and local non-profits.  The SOL Foundation, Roatan Marine Park and Clinica Esperanza are three of our favourite organizations and we will gladly help you learn more about their programs and activities.

One of us is a keen golfer and football lover, the other is fluent in 3 languages, can teach salsa and is an amazing dessert maker…..no prizes for guessing who’s who!
